25.06.09 Bio-insecticide ?!?

A new insecticide has been certified in 2008 for organic farming and viticulture : it is called Success or Spinosad. It is produced by Dow Chemical Company, formely known as Union Carbide. Succes is a wide spectrum insecticide, that works by contact and ingestion, it is persistent and toxic for bees and aquatic organisms. It is not biodegradable. See notice Maybe you do not see the difference between a bio-insecticide and a regular one ? Neither do I. Nor the bees or the fishes. Something must be wrong.
